当前,全球气候变化深刻影响陆地森林生态系统,处在北半球寒温带针叶林南缘的我国东北森林更是受到显著影响,使得森林在群体和个体的气候响应和适应等方面呈现诸多问题。陈振举教授带领团队以树木生长与气候变化的关系为切入点,在国家自然科学基金项目资助下,研究了我国寒温带森林中的建群关键针叶树种兴安落叶松、樟子松和暖温带森林建群针叶树种油松等的生长规律、气候响应特点、主要限定性气候因子的作用与波动、气候变化背景下各树种的潜在分布趋势以及各树种在我国东北构建人工林的适宜区域与发展模式等。相关研究在2019年取得重要进展,部分研究结果发表在Global Change Biology(JCR 1区, IF=8.88) , Science of the Total Environment (JCR 2区, IF=5.59) , Journal of Geophysical Research: Biogeosciences(JCR 2区, IF=3.62) , Trees-Structure and Function(JCR 3区, IF=1.80)和Journal of Forestry Research(JCR 4区, IF=1.16)等国内外主流专业期刊上。其中关于冻土立地上兴安落叶松的生长与适应的研究,被包括美国地球物理学会(AGU)在内的多家境外媒体报道。
